HOBOKEN, N.J. (January 10, 2013) – The Stevens Institute of Technology Athletics Department is pleased to announced the unveiling of the new student cheering section, called the “Quack Pack”, on Friday, January 18 during the basketball doubleheader against Empire 8 Conference rival Nazareth College beginning at 6 p.m.

After a fan poll was released on StevensDucks.com and the winning votes were tallied, a logo contest commenced for the student body on campus. Submissions of possible logos were submitted and voted upcoming by the Stevens coaches and administration, as well as some student-athletes. At the beginning of December, a promotions committee sat down with eight to 10 students and selected the winning logos for the new t-shirts. The winning submission was turned in by Stevens senior Zak Moy, which will be displayed on the shirts for the upcoming games on the 18th.

On the evening of the 18th, students can sign up to be a part of the new section and will be given a brand new Quack Pack shirt and a fan card which can be stamped at future home Stevens events. Once the card has been filled, discounted or free items will be available to those participants around Hoboken.

Also, anyone who joins the Pack will earn primary seating and giveaways for upcoming home events as well as many other prizes throughout the remainder of the 2013 academic year.
