HOBOKEN, N.J. (November 7, 2013) – The Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team will host the 2013 Empire 8 Championship at the De Baun Athletic Complex on November 9 and 10 at the De Baun Athletic Complex.
 
The Ducks earned the rite to host and the conference's No. 1 seed via an undefeated Empire 8 regular season. Utica College is the second seed, Ithaca College is the third seed, and St. John Fisher College is No. 4.
 
Stevens will host Fisher Saturday at 11 a.m., with Utica and Ithaca squaring off in the second semifinal at 2 p.m. The two winners will meet at 1 p.m. in the Empire 8 title game Sunday afternoon for the conference's automatic berth into the 2013 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship.
