Day 1 Results

BRONX, N.Y. (December 6, 2013) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team opened competition at the 2013 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Lehman College in the Bronx Friday.

Only two events were swam Friday night, with the rest taking place throughout the day Saturday and Sunday. TheDucks are currently in fifth place with 111 points, while NYU is in first with 188. SUNY Oneonta, Fairfield University and St. Francis College are all ahead of the Ducks in the early going.
 
The 200-yard medley relay team placed second with a time of 1:32.11, as sophomore Ravi Sun, sophomore Joshua Lefeber, junior John Rees and senior Tyler Hessler combined for an NCAA B-cut and earned 56 team points.
 
Freshmen Mark Lippert and Conner Arnott finished second and third in the 1,650-yard freestyle, combining to net the Ducks 55 points. Lippert touched in an NCAA B-cut time 16:08.49 and was just 1.02 off the top spot, while Arnott clocked a 16:27.06.
