ECAC RELEASE

DANBURY, Conn. (January 21, 2015) – Stevens Institute of Technology women's basketball junior Kaitlyn Astel was named the ECAC Co-Player of the Week Tuesday after leading the Ducks to a 2-1 week.
 
The Staten Island native scored a career-high 25 points and added 10 rebounds against Ithaca College on Friday before scoring 19 points in a Saturday win against Elmira College. Combined with Monday's 12 point performance in 16 minutes against The College of New Jersey, Astel averaged 18 points and seven rebounds for the week.
 
Astel currently leads in scoring (16.6 ppg) and rebounding (7.3 rpg) for the 12-2 Ducks.
