 – Freshman Mary Visca of the Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country team finished 16th to help lead the Ducks to a 12th place team finish at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships Saturday.

The 12th place finish matches the highest finish ever for the women's team, set last year.

Visca finished the 6K with a time of 22:30.1 and was named All-Region based on her finish. Freshman Paige Metzheiser and junior Kathleen Kalbian finished within .1 of each other, placing 74th and 75th respectively.

Junior Kaela Earrusso was 83rd with a mark of 23:55.5, with sophomore Kristen Okorn rounding out the Duck scorers with a time of 24:46.1.

"This season presented some challenges to our team and they worked together to overcome," said head coach Justin Wood. "I'm really proud of this group and all that they have accomplished. We continue to slowly improve and I'm excited about what the future holds for Stevens cross country."

The Ducks will find out tomorrow at 3 p.m. if anyone qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships.
