HOBOKEN, N.J. (November 14, 2016) – Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country runner Amy Regan was named Empire 8 Athlete of the Week Monday in a historic week for the program.

Regan took first at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Saturday in 20:05.1, besting the 303-member field by 19 seconds. With the win, Regan helped the team to a fifth-place finish which solidified the program's first NCAA at-large bid.

The honor is the fifth of the season for the national champion, by far the most of any runner in the conference.

Regan and the rest of the Ducks will take the trail in the national championship race Saturday at 11 a.m. in Louisville.
