EWING, N.J. - The seventh-ranked College of New Jersey scored two goals in the first seven minutes en route to a 6-0 win over Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday night in women's soccer action.
The College of New Jersey (4-0) received goals in the fourth minute from Erin Pivovarnick and in the seventh minute from Amy Swiatecki-McCabe in taking a quick lead. The Lions added a goal by Christine Mullin just 3:24 before intermission to increase their lead to 3-0.
Stevens (2-3), playing its fifth consecutive road game, lost to a ranked team for the second time this season. The Ducks also fell to sixth-ranked Wheaton in their second game.
The College of New Jersey added three goals in a span of eight minutes early in the second half, the first two by Katie Egan.
Stevens received four saves each from senior Rommy Guevara (Kearny, N.J./Kearny) and freshman Erica Midttveit (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial). Alissa Kacar stopped two shots for the College of New Jersey.
