No. 25 Women's Soccer Falls to No. 2 College of New Jersey, 4-0

EWING, NJ (October 19, 2005) – The No. 25 ranked Stevens Institute of Technology women’s soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 2 College of New Jersey Wednesday night.  With the win, TCNJ improves to 14-0, while Stevens drops to 14-2 with the loss.

Stevens and TCNJ remained scoreless in the first half until Courtney Krol netted the potential game-winner at the 42:17 mark, giving the Lions a 1-0 halftime advantage.

In the second half, TCNJ tacked on its second goal at 49:32 when Dana DiBruno connected on a pass from Brittany Boyd.  Boyd scored the Lions next goal at 53:39 with Kristen Cubicciotti picking up her first assist of the game.  Just over 10 minutes later, Allie Schilling extended TCNJ’s lead to 4-0.

In goal junior Erica Midttveit (Jackson, NJ) had three saves for the Ducks, while Alissa Kacar had seven for the Lions.

Junior Siena York-Carr (Davis, CA) and freshman Salme Cook (Fairfax, VA) played very well for the Ducks in the game.

Stevens will look for its fifth Skyline win of the season on Saturday, Oct. 22 when it travels to Purchase, NY to play Manhattanville at 2 p.m.
