HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 5, 2010) – Newcomers Brittany Odgers and Kaitlin Connell combined for three goals as the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team cruised to a 5-1 victory over Albright College to win the Fairleigh Dickinson University – Florham Tournament in Madison, N.J. The Ducks have now netted 11 goals over their first three matches, moving to 3-0 on the young season.

Stevens opened up scoring less than 15 minutes into the match when senior Katria Misilo tallied her second goal in as many days, putting the Ducks up 1-0 at the 12:44 mark. Junior Kathleen Schuckers made a run up the right side to set up the opening score before turning at the endline and sending a cross over the face of the goal toward the back-post to a waiting Misilo, who tapped it in.

The Ducks upped the margin minutes later on Sarah Lehman's third tally of the season. The Gilbert, Arizona native fired a shot from distance, sending a ball from the right side, into the right hand corner of the net, over the Lions' goalkeeper, from 25 yards out.

After closing out the half with a 16-6 shot deficit, Albright sliced into the Stevens' lead early in the second, converting a penalty kick after a Ducks' handball in the 48th minute to make it 2-1.

Unfazed, Stevens netted another goal just over two minutes later, when Connell intercepted a failed Albright clearance before making a run up the left side, slipping a pair of defenders before sliding it past the Lions' netminder.

Odgers recorded the Ducks' fourth tally in the 78th minute, giving Stevens a three-goal edge. On the Ducks' fourth score, senior Kara Pepe sent a cross from the right side across to Schuckers on the back-post, who in turn sent it right back across the face of the goal to an open Odgers.

The Roseland, N.J. native, who narrowly missed out on a hat-trick after a shot ricocheted off the post at 79:40, closed out scoring in the 80th minute when she sent a Lehman pass into the right side of the Lions' net.

Stevens, which dominated possession from start to finish, held a decisive 27-11 shot advantage and a 3-1 edge in corners.

The Ducks will return to action on Wednesday, September 8 at Montclair State University in Montclair, N.J.
