Tenth Annual Engineering Cups Kicks Off Tomorrow

HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 6, 2013) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team hosts the Tenth Annual Stevens Engineering Cup this weekend beginning at 11 a.m. tomorrow morning. Four matches are slated to be played at the De Baun Athletic Complex on Saturday and Sunday.

Stevens takes on Vassar College in the 2013 home opener for the Ducks at 11 a.m. and then New York University and Haverford College square off at 2 p.m. tomorrow afternoon. On Sunday, Vassar and Haverford meet at 12 p.m., and then at 2 p.m., the Ducks and Violets take to the pitch at 3 p.m. to wrap up the Cup.

The Ducks bring a 0-2 mark into this weekend's events, while Vassar is 1-0, Haverford is 0-1-1 and NYU is 1-0-1.

Over the past nine Engineering Cups, Stevens has claimed six titles while NYU has won twice. Last season, Kean University earned the crown to make up the final champion. This will be the first time Vassar competes in the Engineering Cup and the second for Haverford. NYU is the veteran team of the bunch, making its eighth trip to Hoboken.
