Men’s Fencing Picks-Up Seven Wins At Vassar

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.J. (November 15, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing team picked-up three wins against Division I opponents Sunday in a 7-1 day at the Vassar Invitational.

The Ducks topped Hunter College 19-8, Lafayette College 20-7, Vassar College 14-13, the University of Florida 17-10, Haverford College 16-11, Yeshiva University 18-9, and Army 18-9. The Ducks lone loss on the day came in a 15-12 decision to Sacred heart University. 

The wins moved Stevens' record to 7-4 on the season.

Senior Logan Koester led the Ducks at epee with a 14-2 day, while freshman Wesley McDowell and sophomore Ian Fan went 10-7 and 8-7 respectively at sabre. 

Senior Daniel Tracey went 19-3 at foil, to go along with an 18-2 day for freshman Ryan Edlestein, and an 18-4 day for freshman George Allen.

The Ducks will wrap-up the 2015 portion of their schedule next Sunday with the MACFA Group "B" vs. Group "C" meet.
