HOBOKEN, N.J. (SEPTEMBER 25, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team looks to pick up its second Empire 8 Conference victory with a tough road game against Ithaca College Saturday.
WAY BACK WEDNESDAYThe Ducks received goals from five different players en route to a 6-3 victory over Farmingdale State Wednesday. Freshman
Zisi Komar had a pair of goals and an assist while three others had multiple point outings. Sophomore
Lindsey Mahnken and senior
Evelyn Ting combined to make six saves.
GIFT OF GABBoth
Gabby Mathelier and
Gabby Pagkalinawan tallied their first goals of the season on Wednesday, with Pagkalinawan notching the first of her career. Mathelier also contributed an assist in the victory.
FIRE AWAYAfter being held to a single shot on goal in each of the previous two contests, Komar bounced back in big way. She fired a team best five shots on net, while also recording a career-best five points.
GOING GOING GONSenior
Kristen Goncalves has thrived since moving to a more attacking role this fall. She has recorded a goal and three assists while attempting 10 shots. Against the Rams, she notched a pair of assists including one off a free kick that sophomore
Sammy Mount directed into the back of the net.
SCOUTING THE BOMBERSIthaca comes into the contest with a 4-3 mark, knocking off Alfred University 6-0 on Wednesday. Kelsey King leads the Bombers with four goals and 10 points and is second on the club with two assists. Last season, the Ducks recorded a 1-0 victory at home, with junior
Raba Nassif tallying the lone goal.
