The Ducks fell to 1-1 while Messiah moved to 2-0 on the year. The Falcons also moved to 4-0 all-time against Stevens.

Kristen Goncalves made a brilliant defensive play to clear the ball away just before it crossed the end line. In the sixth minute, Marisa Weaver made a move around a defender but
Lindsey Mahnken was able to deflect the shot away.
The Falcons peppered Mahnken throughout the first half, including a scramble inside the 18-yard box which ended with a Mahnken save. Messiah's Nikki Elsaesser also drilled a shot that caught the crossbar with a shade under 10 minutes left.
The Ducks did threaten in the 42
nd minute, as senior
Carly Bean lofted a ball from 25 yards out that keeper Audra Larson leaped up and snared as the ball was heading toward the upper corner. Messiah held a 15-3 edge in shots and a 9-0 edge in corners, but the contest remained scoreless heading into the intermission.
In the 51
st minute, Weaver dribbled around a defender and put a shot on net that just sailed over the net. The Falcons struck first however, as Kyele Bridel headed a ball that glanced off the fingertips of Mahnken and went into the back of the net.
Messiah doubled its lead in the 63
rd minute as Weaver floated a shot from just outside the 18 that found the back of the net. The Falcons would add a third marker just four minutes later to add an insurance goal.

Elsaesser, Holly Burgard and Bridel combined for 16 shots, with Elsaesser chipping in a pair of assists.
