BOSTON, Mass. (January 30, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing team played several close bouts against top competition Friday, but ultimately went 0-5 on the day at the Eric Sollee Invitation in Boston.

The Ducks dropped a pair of close 11-16 matches to both Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Brandeis University to start the day, followed by a 14-13 loss to Boston College. A 19-8 loss to New Jersey Institute of Technology and a 17-10 loss to Brown University closed-out the afternoon.

Stevens went a perfect 9-0 at foil against MIT, but went winless in sabre in addition to 2-7 at epee. Foil also recorded a winning record against Brandeis at foil, while epee went 5-4 against Brown.
