HOBOKEN, N.J. (September 27, 2016) – Taking a break from Empire 8 Conference action, the No. 7 Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team heads to Drew for non-conference play Wednesday.
FIRST KICK
The match between the two schools is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Ranger Stadium in Madison, N.J.
LAST MEETING
Last year at the De Baun Athletic Complex, Stevens picked up a 4-0 win, with junior
Lindsey Mahnken and sophomore
Madi Chollett combining to make eight saves.
LAST TIME OUT
The Ducks moved to a perfect 7-0-0 and 2-0-0 in the E8 with a 2-1 victory over Nazareth on Saturday.
RAPID RABA
Senior
Raba Nassif tallied both goals in the win over the Golden Flyers. Nassif has recorded three multi-goal games thus far in 2016.
KEEPING THE STREAK ALIVE
Mahnken moved her consecutive minutes without a goal streak to 156:10, playing the first half against Naz. The junior is 5-0-0 with two shutouts and .44 goals against average.
4 CORNERS
The Ducks once again held a significant edge in the corner kick department, topping Naz 10-3. The three corners surrendered was one off the season-low.
DREW REPORT
The Rangers are 4-3-1 on the season, and are coming off a 1-0 loss in the Landmark Conference opener against Elizabethtown on Saturday.
COMMON FOE
The sides have faced one common opponent so far this season; Mount Saint Mary. The Ducks roughed up MSMC 7-0, while Drew took down the Knights 2-1.
PUT IT ON THE BOARD
After tallying six goals and seven assists as an offensive midfielder last season, sophomore
Olivia Butera got on the scoresheet for the first time this season. Butera passed a long through ball to Naasif for the second goal of the game Saturday to collect an assist.
