COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (January 27, 2024) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team fell to Ursinus 149-108 Saturday afternoon.

The Ducks drop the first-ever meeting between the two programs as Ursinus improves to 1-0. The Ducks finish the year 1-7.

Top Performers

• In the 100-yard breaststroke, sophomore Adriana Bertolotti claimed the top spot with a time of 1:10.12. Junior Kai Wong came in third (1:14.67).
• Junior Sophie Patz came in second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.71. She also came in second in the 200-yard IM (2:17.36).
• Bertolotti timed in at 2:35.77 in the 200-yard breaststroke which was good for second. Patz came in third with a time of 2:37.62.
• Junior Melissa Misurelli finished in the top spot in the 200-yard butterfly, as she timed in at 2:18.28. She also came in second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:18.27.
• Sophomore Natalia Brunetti touched the wall first in the 100-yard butterfly as she finished in 1:02.01. Wong finished third with a time of 1:02.71.
• The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Wong, Misurelli, sophomore Gabby Sokolik, and first-year Kylie Martinez finished in first with a time of 3:48.68. The team of Bertolotti and sophomores Gabby Tyer, Rachel Merrifield, and Sydney Lanager finished a spot below with a time of 4:02.24.
• Senior Keenan Yates claimed second in the 50-yard freestyle (25.85).
• Wong also came in second in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 55.83.=

For the Opponents

• Katie Barlow had a solid day as she finished first in the 1000-yard free (10:58.03), first in the 200-yard breast (2:35.77), and third in the 200-yard IM (2:18.48).
• Melissa Leonard placed first in the 200-yard free (1:55.89), first in the 200-yard back (2:08.33), and first in the 500-yard free (5:17.80).
