Women's Volleyball Tops Lebanon Valley in MAC Freedom Action

Annville, Pa. (September 30, 2025) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's volleyball team collected its first conference victory of the season with a 3-1 win over Lebanon Valley College Tuesday night.

The Ducks (7-6, 1-1 MAC Freedom) topped the Dutchmen (5-11, 1-1 MAC Freedom) by set scores of 25-22, 23-25, 26-24, 25-21.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite falling behind 3-0 early, the Ducks capitalized on three straight unforced errors to even the frame, with Eva Tarolli adding a solo block. An Alyssa O'Neal ace tied the set at 8 before an Ella Kraver kill and a Vivian Lisboa ace pushed Stevens ahead 11-9. The Ducks extended the margin to 19-14 following a service error, but the hosts rallied to within one at 22-21. After fending off one set point, O'Neal converted a set from Alexa Brucculeri to seal the 25-22 opening win.

Stevens raced out to an 8-2 advantage in the second, sparked by a Brucculeri ace and capped by an O'Neal kill. Lebanon Valley answered with a 9-3 run to level the score at 11. A Lisboa ace briefly restored a four-point cushion for Stevens at 15-11, but the teams traded points down the stretch. The Dutchmen claimed the final two points to take the set 25-23 and even the match.

In the third, Stevens trailed 7-4 before Brucculeri halted the run with a kill. Lebanon Valley grew its lead to 16-12 after a Riley Mack kill, but the Ducks stormed back. Six of the next eight points went to Stevens, with Sarah Bolduc pounding down three kills during the stretch. Late kills from Ella Boland and O'Neal brought up set point, and O'Neal capped the frame with an ace to give Stevens the 26-24 win and a 2-1 lead.

The fourth set featured early ties at nearly every point through 7-7 before Lebanon Valley surged ahead 12-8. The Ducks responded with a 9-3 run, highlighted by kills from Tarolli and Boland and aces from Brucculeri and Lisboa. Tarolli and Boland continued to find the floor as Stevens held off a late push, with the Dutchmen getting as close as 22-20. Lebanon Valley fought off one match point, but a service error handed Stevens the clinching 25-21 win.
