Women's Lacrosse Clinches MAC Freedom Regular Season Title WIth 15-4 Senior Day Win Over DeSales

Hoboken, N.J. – The No. 13 Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team clinched another MAC Freedom regular season title with a 15-4 victory over DeSales on Saturday afternoon.

Before the game started, Stevens (13-4, 7-0) held Senior Day ceremonies for the team's Class of 2026 – Hana Yang, Maggie Zarish-Yasunas, Eran Gleason, Maddie Hogan, Lindsay Esposito, Lauren Sullivan, Stefanie Sellitto, Felicity Heilferty, Maddie Sullivan, and Emma Guzowski.

How It Happened
Hogan notched the game's first two goals in the first 2:30, with Alina Friz and Alison Murray tacking on a goal apiece, as the Ducks carried a 4-2 lead to a second quarter that featured just a single player-up score from Sellitto after 15+ minutes without a goal from either side.

Coming out of the locker room, the Ducks put their foot on the gas and put the game well out of reach. Abby O'Brien, Friz, and Hogan all scored in the first 90 seconds, putting Stevens up 8-2. O'Brien, Sellitto (twice), and Friz again made it 12-2, initiating the running clock in the final 90 seconds of the third quarter.

DeSales briefly stopped the running clock with a goal that cut the lead back under early in the fourth, but goals from Friz and Murray put the Ducks up 11, with Sellitto answering a late goal from the Bulldogs for the final margin.

  • Needing eight points for 100 in her career, Friz finished with a game-high nine, adding five assists to her four-goal afternoon
  • Defensively, the Ducks caused a season-best 18 turnovers, with Sellitto and Gleason leading the way with four each
  • Heilferty made her first start and earned her first win of the season
