Women's Lacrosse Blanks FDU-Florham 22-0 For Second Straight MAC Freedom Shutout

Madison, N.J. – The No. 14 Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team won their 16th straight MAC Freedom regular season game Wednesday night, downing FDU-Florham, 22-0.

Stevens (8-4, 2-0 MACF) scored 10 goals in less than 10 minutes, initiating the running clock less than 2/3 of the way through the first quarter and did not look back from there, posting their second straight shutout to begin conference play following a 23-0 win over King's last Wednesday.

How It Happened
Alina Friz, Maddie Hogan, Alison Murray, and Stefanie Sellitto (thrice) all scored in the first six minutes. Another goal each for Friz and Murray followed by Sellitto's fourth and Hogan's second initiated the running clock at the 5:53 mark. Off the ensuing draw control, Abby O'Brien made it 11-0, that score holding to the end of the period.

Hogan and Sellitto opened the second quarter with another goal apiece, with Adeline Obitz, Hana Yang, and Gracie Shea all adding on for a 16-0 lead at the half.

In the third quarter, Callie Slabaugh had two, Sellitto added another, and Margaret Palmer scored in the final seconds, putting the Ducks up 20 heading to a fourth quarter that featured a goal apiece from Colleen Ginsberg and Claudia Diaz as the Ducks closed out a second straight shutout, allowing just five shots from the Devils in the game.
