Williamsport, Pa. – Following a mid-Round 1 suspension of play Sunday, the Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team finished The Northeast Elite on Monday with a two-day team total of 599 (+31), tying for fifth with Arav Tank finishing tied for third out of more than 85 golfers.

The Ducks finished just five shots back of Rochester (No. 18 in the final 2025-26 team rankings) and seven shots ahead of McDaniel (No. 43 in the final 2025-26 rankings). Penn State Altoona won with a two-day total of +10 (578).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Tank's tournament started with birdies at the par-four 1^st and par-five 6^th on Sunday, playing his first nine at one-under par. After bogeying his final two holes before play was suspended Sunday, Tank responded Monday with birdies on two of the final five holes in Round 1, tying for the lead at the midway point at one-under. He began his Round 2 with birdies at the 1^st and 6^th again, leaving him as the only player in the field under par for several holes. He finished the tournament with a two-day 143 (+1).

Jack Harris started Sunday with a birdie at the par-four 4^th, then an eagle at the par-five 6^th, shooting one-over on his first nine; he added birdies at the par-three 10^th and par-five 16^th, finishing with a round of 74 (+3). In Round 2, Harris parred 14 holes, seven on both the front and back nine, during a four-over round of 75, tying for 18^th  with a total of 148 (+7).

Troy Nguyen started Sunday slow, but bounced back with birdies at the 6^th and par-four 9^th, playing the final 13 holes at just one-over during a six-over round of 77. In Round 2, the first-year again birdied the 6^th, then the 16^th, coming in with a one-over 36, finishing with a two-day total of 151 (+10), tying for 30^th.

Bryce Karty matched Tank with a one-under 35 on the front nine Sunday, birdieing the 1^st, 6^th, and 9^th, then finished his four-over round of 75 with a birdie at the par-five 18^th. In Round 2, Karty again birdied the 1^st and parred nine holes during a 10-over round of 81, carding a two-day 156 (+14), tying for 59^th.

Sebastian Beaver, like Nguyen, got off to a rocky start Sunday, but birdied the par-four 7^th, then the 10^th while playing the final 16 holes of his round at just one-over, shooting 77 (+6). Beaver birdied the 6^th and par-four 12^th in Round 2, shooting 80 and tying for 65^th after a two-day 157 (+15).

As a team, the Ducks played the 6^th at five-under, as well as the 9^th,10^th, and 16^th all at two-under in Round 1. In Round 2, they played the first at one-under and sixth at two-under.

The Ducks will have a week off from competition before returning to Pennsylvania for the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic in Wayneboro on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11.
