Dedicated by Betty and William J. Canavan '44 in October of 1994, the Canavan Arena serves as home to Stevens men's and women's basketball, men's and women's fencing, men's and women's volleyball, and wrestling. The 1,500 person arena holds numerous practices and other major university events including convocation, portions of graduation, career fairs, Senior Design Expo, major dinners and more. Canavan is consistently used by the general student body and campus recreation for anything from ultimate frisbee to intramural events and competitions. The venue has hosted countless NCAA Tournaments, conference tournaments and other major gatherings as well.
