Lance Harden was named the Head Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track and Field Coach in the Fall of 2018, becoming the fifth head coach in program history. 

In 2021, Harden helped Gina Dello Russo win the Outdoor National Championship in the 400-meter dash to become the eighth National Champion in the history of the program.

Under Harden’s guidance, the Ducks swept Empire 8 Conference Championship titles in women’s and men’s indoor and outdoor track and field in the 2019 season and won the men's Middle Atlantic Conference indoor track and field title in 2020. Harden has captured four Coach of the Year accolades across the six sports he oversees in his first two seasons on Castle Point.

Stevens HC Lance

  • Coached Gina Dello Russo to a National Championship in the 400-meters in 2021, just the eighth National Champion in program history
  • Gina Dello Russo just the second student-athlete in the history of the institution to be named to the NCAA Woman of the Year Top-30 
  • Helped Gina Dello Russo finish in third place in the 400-meter dash and seventh place in the 200-meter dash at the DIII NCAA Outdoor T&F Championships and finish second place in the 400-meter dash and seventh place in the 200-meter dash at the DIII NCAA Indoor T&F Championships in 2019
  • Coached Katie Weeks to an eighth place finish in the Weight Throw at the DIII NCAA Indoor T&F Championships in 2019 and and to qualification in the Shot Put, Discus, and Hammer Throw at the DIII NCAA Outdoor T&F Championships in 2019
  • Led Stevens to the Middle Atlantic Conference title in Men's Indoor Track and Field in 2020 with three men’s event winners and three women’s event champions
  • Led the Ducks to a sweep of both the women’s and men’s indoor and outdoor Empire 8 Track and Field conference titles in 2019 
  • Helped Stevens break a total of 19 school records in the 2018-19 season and nine records in the 2019-20 indoor season
  • Coached 12 NCAA qualifiers and seven NCAA All-Americans

  • Took the Ducks women’s cross country team to a runner-up finish at the 2018 Empire 8 Championship

Emory Assistant

  • Recognized as the 2016 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Men's Outdoor Track Assistant Coach of the Year
  • Coached the 2015 Outdoor Men's Track and Field Team to the 2015 UAA Championship, Emory's first since 2004
  • Was a member of the 2015 UAA Men's Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year 
  • Helped the cross country program reach the NCAA Championship in four straight seasons, while winning a pair of South/Southeast Regional titles 
  • Led Emory to several accomplishments including: 
    • 10 school records 
    • Four University Athletic Association (UAA) individual champions 
    • Six NCAA Track Championship qualifiers 
    • Three NCAA All-Americans 
    • Two NCAA Postgraduate Scholars

At Williams Assistant Coach
  • Helped lead the Williams women's cross country team to three consecutive podium finishes in the NCAA Championships from 2011-13
