Alina Duran joins the coaching staff as an assistant throws coach after one of the most successful careers in Stevens Track & Field history. Duran was a seven-time Empire 8 Conference champion and was undefeated within the conference indoors in the shot put. She set a facility and Empire 8 record in the weight throw at the 2013 Empire 8 Indoor Track & Field Championships. She went on to win the weight throw at ECAC’s and earned NCAA All-American honors at the 2013 NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships. The All-American honor was the first in indoor track & field program history.
Alina also qualified for NCAA’s in the Hammer Throw in the 2012 Outdoor Track & Field season.
She is also a current graduate student working towards a Master's in Civil Engineering.
