Phil Longo

Phil Longo was named Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach in the winter of 2021, joining the Ducks midway through the indoor season with a specialty in jumps and sprints.

Longo spent a number of years in the private engineering industry before being called back to track and field. Prior to Stevens, he spent a couple seasons as a volunteer coach with his alma mater, SUNY Geneseo and as a coach for Mount Morris High School.

Applying his passion for functional weightlifting and power training, Longo is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist – acting as a liaison between the track and field program and the in-house strength and conditioning team.

As a student athlete, Phil earned seven All-State University of New York Athletic Conference honors, was a team captain for three years. A team MVP for three seasons, Longo was part of three conference championship teams for the Knights. He graduated in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences and went on to earn his master's degree in Energy Management from New York Institute of Technology.
