Emily Kaczmarek is in her seventh season as the head coach of the Stevens softball team while also serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for Administration since May of 2015.

Kaczmarek reached 100 career victories during the 2023 campaign. In the same season, Meg Halloran '23 broke the program record for career hits with 199.

In her first five years as the head softball coach, Kaczmarek compiled 88 total victories and led the Ducks to their first-ever conference titles in 2021 and 2022 when they won the MAC Freedom Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Regionals for the first time in program history. She won the first NCAA Tournament game in program history after the Ducks took down SUNY Geneseo 4-0. She also guided Stevens to back-to-back Empire 8 Conference tournaments in 2018 and 2019.

In addition to her duties as the head softball coach, Kaczmarek also oversees the finances of the department including forecasting budgets for all accounts including departmental, gift, fundraising, operational, department and team accounts. She also oversees athletic camps and facility rental contracts, is responsible for the NCAA Financial Report and EADA reports, oversees hiring and onboarding of new employees and oversees the Office of Business Operations Coordinator.

Additionally, Kaczmarek manages the NCAA Travel and Expenses process for championships and oversees the NCAA Bid Process.

Kaczmarek has now been at Stevens for a total of nine years after originally coming to Stevens as an intern for the athletic director since 2013.NCAA Tournament Appearances

Emily Stevens HC
  • Won the MAC Freedom Tournament for the second straight season in 2022. Also won the programs first ever NCAA Tournament game over SUNY Geneseo 4-0
  • Took Stevens to their first-ever MAC Freedom Tournament title and NCAA Regional appearance in 2021 with a 22-10 overall record
  • Led the Ducks to their first Empire 8 Regular Season title in 2019, going 12-2 in conference play
  • Coached Samantha Schattin who was named the Stevens NCAA Woman of the Year in the 2020-21 academic year
  • Had Stevens off to a perfect 4-0 start in the 2020 season before the COVID-19 pandemic cut the season short
  • Earned E8 Coaching Staff of the Year accolade in 2019 and MAC Freedom Coach of the Year in 2021 for her stellar coaching performances
  • Coached the Ducks to back-to-back Empire 8 Tournament appearances in 2018 and 2019
  • Has produced a 39-8 record in conference play entering the 2020 season
  • Also served as an assistant coach from 2013-16 and helped Stevens win a program-record 30 victories in 2014
East Stroudsburg Assistant Coach
  • Played for the Warrior softball team for three seasons, but her career was derailed by a season-ending injury her freshman campaign
  • Earned her Bachelor of Science degree in exercise physiology in 2011
