Andrew Springer was named an assistant coach in September 2022. He arrives in Hoboken after a 10-year stint on the staff of his alma mater, Messiah University.
Springer was named the Middle Atlantic Conference's Men's Indoor Assistant Coach of the Year after guiding his student-athletes to 67 of the Falcons' 133 team points, including a sweep of the medals in the 5,000.Â
Springer has coached one national champion, 14 conference champions and 95 all-conference performers. With Springer on the staff, the Falcons cross country and track and field program has totaled nine MAC team titles and posted seven top-10 finishes at the Mideast Regional Championships.
Off the track, Springer has private sector experience in telecom operations at UPMC and as a software engineer and technical recruiter for LingaTech Inc.
Springer graduated from Messiah in 2012 with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science. As an undergraduate, Springer won two MAC team titles (one in cross country and one in indoor track and field) and finished on the podium in the outdoor 10,000 in 2012.
