John Kolibab

John Kolibab was named the sixth head coach in program history in August 2022 after serving as an assistant since 2019.

During Kolibab’s three seasons on the sidelines, a total of 20 different school records were set, many of which were broken multiple times. Under Kolibab’s tutelage, the Ducks collected six All-America honors, one national championship and captured one Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) title. He was recognized by the MAC as its Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Assistant Coach of the Year earlier this year after piloting the Ducks to second place on the women’s side, with program alumna Gina Dello Russo earning Field Athlete of the Year.

A two-time United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association Metro Region Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year, Kolibab served on the staff at the University of Pennsylvania prior to landing on Castle Point. While with the Quakers, Kolibab guided five Quakers to All-Ivy League honors and four student-athletes qualified for the NCAA First Round, with two advancing to the NCAA Championships.

Prior to his time in Pennsylvania, Kolibab spent three seasons coaching at his alma mater, Xavier University, where he worked directly with the jumps, throwers and multi-event athletes. While coaching in Cincinnati, eighteen Musketeers broke school records and six student-athletes garnered All-Big East Conference accolades.

As a student-athlete, Kolibab was a 2014 All-Big East selection in the High Jump and held the Xavier record in the event until 2017.

Kolibab earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Xavier in May 2015.
