Jason Cappadoro (Weehawken, N.J.) was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Administration, it was announced by Director of Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation Russell Rogers (Branchburg, N.J.) in January of 2014.
 
"Jason has been an outstanding addition to the athletic program and the Stevens community,” said Rogers. “He is an effective administrator with a strong desire to learn and help our institution in any way possible. I am very proud of Jason's work and this promotion is well earned."
 
Cappadoro is in his third year at Stevens. After serving as an intern in the department while completing his MBA from Seton Hall University with a concentration in Sports Management, Cappadoro was brought aboard full time and named the Business Manager in July of 2012.
 
As the Assistant Athletic Director for Administration, Cappadoro oversees all financials of the department, including payment of officials, employees and outside vendors. He directly supervises three sports and the Stevens Aquatics Center and prepares and submits all financial reports for the Athletic Department (institutionally, NCAA, EADA, etc.).
 
Cappadoro forecasts and reconciles all monthly department budgets and is directly responsible for the organization and management of all fundraising events including the department’s Golf Outing and Wine-Tasting dinner.
 
The Long Island native is also responsible for the creation and management of the overall department and individual team budgets, managing all aspects of athletic facility rentals and the submission of NCAA reimbursements from championship travel and hosting.
 
Adfitionally, Cappadoro is an assistant coach on the women’s lacrosse coaching staff, helping guide the Ducks to the conference semifinals in his first full season on the sidelines.
 
He has his MBA from Seton Hall University and received his Bachelor’s degree in economics from Stony Brook University in 2006. A four-year member and two-year team captain of the lacrosse team at Stony Brook, Cappadoro played professionally for the New Jersey Pride and Chicago Pride from 2006-2008 after graduation.
 
Prior to Stevens, Cappadoro was a Stock Loan trader at ICAP Securities from August 2010-March 2012 and Lazard Capital Capital Markets from June 2009-September 2010.
