Kelly McGinniss is in her second season as an assistant coach. 

McGinniss arrived on Castle Point after completing a two-year stint as a graduate assistant coach at MAC Freedom opponent Misericordia, where she also spent five months as the Cougars' associate head coach.

With Misericordia, McGinniss was responsible for the development and implementation of scouting reports, while also being actively involved with recruiting. McGinniss was also responsible for the program's social media efforts and also served as the team's travel coordinator.

Prior to her two years at Misericordia, McGinniss completed a standout four-year playing career at Lycoming. With the Warriors, was a three-time First Team All-MAC Commonwealth selection and set the NCAA single-season record for draw controls (239) and she is one just three players in Division III history to amass 600 or more career draws. 

Equally adept in the attacking third, the Randolph, New Jersey native scored 284 goals with 35 assists to finish atop Lycoming's career scoring list with 319 points. She scored at least one goal in 56 consecutive games, which is the 12th-longest streak in DIII history and McGinniss is 20th all-time in career goals. She was named Lycoming's Most Outstanding Female Athlete in 2019 and appeared in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) North-South All-Star Game.

A two-time IWLCA/Zag Sports Academic Honor Roll selection, McGinniss received her bachelor of arts degree in business administration with a minor in corporate communications from Lycoming in 2019 and went on to earn her master of business administration degree from Misericordia in 2021.
