Greg Higgins

Greg Higgins is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s volleyball team.  Over the course of his first three seasons with the program, Higgins has helped Stevens to a combined record of 80-25, which translates to an impressive .762-winning percentage.  During that span, the Ducks have gone 21-3 in Skyline Conference play.  They have also captured back-to-back league championships.

From 2003-06, Higgins was a standout player for the Stevens men’s volleyball program.  As a freshman in 2003, he earned all-conference honors as the Ducks captured the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association championship and finished fourth at the Molten Division III Men’s Invitational Volleyball Championship.  In 2004, Stevens went 33-4, won the NECVA Metro-West Division title and claimed the ECAC South Tournament championship.

In each of the past two seasons, the men’s team has finished in third place at the Molten Championship while posting a combined record of 52-21.  The 2005 team won the NECVA title.  In 2006, Higgins helped the Ducks to the NECVA Metro Division championship.

During his four seasons with the Ducks, Higgins amassed 1,036 kills, 563 digs and 291 total blocks in 371 games.  Along the way, the men’s volleyball team went 112-35 (.762).  Higgins, who is from Kenmore, N.Y., ranks fifth on the Ducks’ all-time list with 109 career service aces.
