Alison Koch is the Athletics Business Manager at Stevens Institute of Technology, a role she has held since January 2024. In this position, Koch oversees the day-to-day financial, administrative, and operational functions for the department’s 25 varsity sports, playing a key role in ensuring the efficient management of resources that support Stevens’ student-athletes, coaches, and staff.
Koch is responsible for processing purchase orders, supplier invoice requests, and deposits through Workday Finance, while running and analyzing financial reports across all varsity programs. She reviews and approves purchase card reconciliations, collaborates closely with Procurement, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable, and manages vendor relationships and contractual processes. Her responsibilities also include coordinating overnight team travel, supervising student employment operations, and managing class conflict communications for more than 600 student-athletes.
In addition to her financial oversight, Koch coordinates logistical and financial operations for major departmental events, including the Stevens Athletics Hall of Fame, Athletics Awards, and the annual Welcome Back BBQ. She compiles, collects, and analyzes institutional data for NCAA and Clery reporting, serves as the department’s point of contact for employee onboarding and offboarding, and acts as the direct backup to the Associate Director of Athletics for Finance and Administration. Koch also co-chairs the Stevens Golf Outing Committee and regularly supports the Assistant Vice President and Director of Athletics and Recreation and senior leadership with daily administrative needs.
Prior to her current role, Koch served as the Administrative Assistant of Athletics at Stevens from November 2021 through December 2023. In that role, she supported senior leadership with administrative and operational functions, assisted in budget preparation, coordinated hiring and payroll processes for student employees, managed compliance tracking for recruiting and professional development travel, and organized financial documentation for NCAA reports and internal audits. She also served as the department liaison for financial processes related to fundraising and donor contributions and spearheaded promotional initiatives aimed at increasing athletic event attendance and campus engagement.
Before joining Stevens, Koch worked at Robert Half as a Staffing Manager and Financial Recruiter from 2020 to 2021, where she managed client relationships, conducted compensation analysis, and evaluated candidates for finance and accounting roles.
A former NCAA Division III student-athlete, Koch competed in field hockey and lacrosse at Washington College from 2015 to 2019. She remains actively involved in athletics leadership and professional development, serving with Women Leaders in Sports, participating on the Stevens Day of Giving Committee, and contributing as an NCAA Site Representative and NCAA Tournament Director, including for the 2025 Men’s Volleyball Championship.
Koch earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from Washington College in 2019 and gained a Master of Business Administration at Stevens Institute of Technology in December 2025.Â
