Briana Wright is a highly skilled and compassionate Head Athletic Trainer and the Assistant Director of Sports Medicine, promoted to the role in Fall 2024.
She holds a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado, specializing in Exercise Physiology and Cancer Rehabilitation.
With over seven years of experience across collegiate athletics, professional sports, and orthopedic clinical settings, Briana has built a diverse skill set in both traditional and non-traditional environments. She has worked alongside orthopedic surgeons in clinical and surgical settings, assisting in the operating room and overseeing pre- and post-operative care. Her expertise includes casting, splinting, wound care, and developing individualized rehabilitation programs tailored to high-performance and recovering athletes.
Briana is known for her collaborative, athlete-centered approach and her ability to build strong rapport—earning the nickname “Miss Bri” from many of the student-athletes she’s supported. She is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Cancer Clinical Exercise Specialist, with active licensure in both Colorado and New Jersey.
Outside of her clinical work, Briana enjoys spending time with her dog, traveling, and expanding her expertise in ACL injury prevention and recovery. Miss Bri is primarily responsible for Field Hockey, Men's and Women's Swimming and Men's Lacrosse.
