Jesse Heyburn, DAT, MS, LAT, ATC, is an athletic trainer at Stevens Institute of Technology, where she has worked since 2022. She provides care for women's volleyball, men's soccer, wrestling, softball, and golf.
She earned her Doctorate in Athletic Training from Temple University in May 2025, where she also completed a certificate in higher education. Her doctoral work emphasized leadership, cultural considerations in athletic training, and advanced clinical skills in concussion management, rehabilitation techniques, and injury care. During her doctoral studies, Jessica also served as a guest lecturer in master's level athletic training courses, further fueling her passion for education and mentorship in the field. She previously earned her master's degree in athletic training from Rowan University in 2022.
Jessica is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and serves on the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Athletic Training Committee, where she contributes to advancing athletic training practices across the region. She has also been involved in academic research, with her work published in theÂ
