Mike Tornambe will begin his 20th year at Stevens Institute of Technology as the Athletic Event Coordinator in 2020-21 where he's responsible for game-day operations at all of Stevens’ home athletic contests including breakdown of the facility, in-game operations, event management and security, supervision of student workers, visiting team and official liaison, and more.

Tornambe also plays a crucial role in Stevens' hosting of postseason tournament including conference championships, NCAA Tournaments, and ECAC Tournaments.

In addition to his game-day duties at Stevens, Tornambe is currently a fifth-grade teacher in the Woodbridge Township (N.J.) School District where he's taught there full-time since 2001.

Before coming to Stevens, Tornambe worked at Manhattan College where he was a sports media relations and compliance office assistant. He was in charge of ticket sales and helped to publish and produce various athletic publications. Tornambe graduated from Manhattan with a degree in Elementary Eduation in 1999.

Tornambe was also among the best baseball players to grace the Van Cordtland Park field at Manhattan College. A decade after he last stepped into the batter’s box, newcomers to the Manhattan baseball program are told of his legendary tape-measure home runs, exceptional play, first-class leadership, and display of character on and off the field. His 1999 All-MAAC Team Designated Hitter Award sits proudly inside the school’s trophy case.

Tornambe currently lives in Middletown. N.J. with his daughter Arielle, son Easton, and beautiful wife Melissa.
