Senior  Victor Servito (Teaneck, N.J.) was named Empire 8 Conference Field Athlete of the Week after his performance in the Bomber Invitational Multi over the weekend. Servito's weekly honor now extends Stevens' streak of track/field athletes of the week to five straight.

At the two-day multi, Servito placed second overall amongst 23 competitors with a school-record 4,577 points and currently ranks 15th in the nation with that performance. He was runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.69 seconds. Servito also took fourth in high jump (1.84 meters), long jump (6.39 meters) and pole vault (3.85 meters).

The Teaneck, N.J. native re-established his own Stevens record in the heptathlon by nearly 300 points. In last year's Crowell Invitational on January 7, Servito accumulated a point total of 4,279 and finished fifth overall.

Compared to last season, Servito bettered his 60-hurdles time by almost .2 seconds, his high jump by .2 meters and pole vault by .2 meters. He was also named Empire 8 Athlete of the Week for that record-setting performance.
