Junior catcher Jamie DeGennaro is this week's (March 24-29) Stevens Female Athlete of the week after her back-to-back, two-hit performances in a doubleheader sweep on March 22.

DeGennao was also named Empire 8 Player of the Week by the conference on Monday, marking the second week in a row that a member of the Stevens Institute of Technology softball team was honored. 
 
DeGennaro had four hits in seven at-bats (.571) including a double, in a doubleheader sweep of New Jersey City University on Saturday. The junior also scored twice and recorded two RBIs while catching all twelve innings for the Ducks. DeGennaro has been a key part of the team's resurgence this spring after having her 2013 shortened with an injury.
