Austin Voges returned to Stevens Institute of Technology in November of 2018 to be the men’s volleyball program’s first full-time assistant and was elevated to the role of Interim Head Coach following the retirement of legendary Head Coach Patrick Dorywalski in August of 2020.

The Brightwaters, New York native previously served as a men’s volleyball assistant from 2010-13.

Upon leaving Castle Point, Voges served as head men’s volleyball coach at Hunter College, while also serving as a physical education and health teacher at the High School for Dual Language and Asian Studies in New York City. While manning the bench for the Hawks, Voges guided the program to a pair of City University of New York Athletic Conference championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances. Under Voges’ direction, two players have earned All-America distinction from the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Additionally, Voges has spent time as the head coach of the Long Island Volleyball Club’s Boys 16 and Under National Team and also spends his summers working with the USA Volleyball High Performance Program in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as well as the GEVA Region High Performance Team.

A graduate of Long Island University, Voges holds his Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.
