Brianna Jones became the sixth coach in the history of the program in January of 2021 after serving as the Assistant Coach at Emory University for three seasons.

In her time with the Eagles, Jones helped the program win the 2018 NCAA Division III Championship while also advancing to the NCAA Championship Match in 2019 and the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2017. Emory held an impressive 94-16 overall record in Jones’ three seasons in Georgia and accumulated a total of 12 AVCA All-Americans. She earned the AVCA 30 Under 30 Award for her performance on the court in 2019.

Prior to working at Emory, Jones was a graduate assistant at Columbus State University where she achieved her Master’s in Public Administration in Health Services.

Additionally, Jones played collegiately at both Georgia State University and Pfeiffer University.

Emory Assistant
  • Helped the Eagles amass a 94-16 overall record in three seasons as the assistant coach
  • Was a part of the 2018 team that won the NCAA DIII Championship in a sweep of Calvin College
  • Helped lead Emory to the 2019 NCAA DIII Championship match against Johns Hopkins University
  • Guided the Eagles to the 2017 NCAA South Regional Title in her first season
  • Was a part of the coaching staff that won the 2018 and 2019 University Athletic Association Conference Titles
  • Coached a total of 12 AVCA All-Americans
  • Also served as the program’s recruiting coordinator
Columbus St. GA
  • Served as a Graduate Assistant for the 2016 Columbus State team that won 16 matches and advanced to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament
  • Achieved her Master’s Degree of Public Health-Administration Services in May of 2018
Georgia St. Student-Athlete
  • Was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in 2014 and 2016
  • Appeared in 28 total matches with 50 kills in her career
  • Earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology in May of 2016
Pfeiffer Student-Athlete
  • Named the team MVP for the 2013 season
  • Earned Second Team All-Conference Carolinas in her sophomore campaign
  • Set the program record for total kills in an individual match with 26 against Limestone in 2013

  • Served as an assistant coach for A5 Pure Volleyball Club 16-2 and 18-1 Teams from 2017-2020
  • Presented on a panel about recruiting the Junior Volleyball Association (JVA) while representing Division III at the 2019 AVCA Convention
