Field Hockey drops 5-0 decision to Ramapo

MAHWAH, N.J.— Jacquelyn Garofalo totaled two goals and two assists to lead Ramapo College past the Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team , 5-0, in a non-conference game Wednesday afternoon.

With the loss, the first-year Stevens program falls to 0-11.

Garofalo gave Ramapo an early 1-0 lead just 4:30 into the game.  The Roadrunners continued to dominate the half and scored two more goals to take a 3-0 lead into the second.

Lindsay Hellwig gave Ramapo a 4-0 advantage at 43:57 and Devin Flynn sealed the deal at 63:57 to mark the Roadrunners fifth goal of the game.

Sophomore Katherine Freed (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) tallied 22 saves for the Ducks, her second best of the season.

The Ducks return to action Sunday, October 17 when they travel to Trinity (D.C.) for a 1 p.m. start.
