Field Hockey falls to Moravian, 4-0

HOBOKEN, N.J.—Kelly Boone tallied two goals and an assist to lead Moravian past Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey team 4-0 on Friday afternoon. With the loss, the first year Stevens’ program drops to 1-14, while Moravian improves to 10-8.

The Ducks and Greyhounds remained scoreless in the first half.  The Stevens defense held Moravian to 12 shots in the period with sophomore Katherine Freed (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) recording 10 saves.

The Greyhounds scored their first goal of the game two minutes into the second half.  Moravian dominated the half and went on to score three more goals to earn the victory. 

Freed totaled 16 saves in the game for the Ducks.

The Ducks return to action in their last game of the season on Sunday, October 31 when they host Brockport at noon.
