HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 3, 2007) – Three different players scored goals for the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team as the Ducks posted a 3-0 win over Drew University on Wednesday evening at the De Baun Athletic Complex in Hoboken, N.J. Stevens, which has won two games in a row, improved to 7-3-1 on the season with the victory. The Rangers fell to 4-5-2 overall following their second consecutive loss.

Midway through the first half, Stevens opened the scoring as senior back/midfielder Cristina Fulgencio and freshman back/forward Katria Misilo worked a great give-and-go. On the play, Fulgencio played the ball outside to the left wing. Misilo chased the pass down and fed a low cross into the box where Fulgencio tapped it in on the back side with 21:46 remaining in the period.

Stevens dominated the opening 45 minutes as the Ducks out-shot Drew 17-1. The Ducks also owned a 3-0 edge in corner kicks in the first stanza.

In the 48th minute, Stevens extended its lead to 2-0 as Misilo slotted a ball to freshman midfielder Erica Risch on the left side. Risch's hard shot, which came from just inside the top left corner of the box, went back against the grain and tucked into the upper right corner of the net.

The Ducks capped the scoring in the 66th minute when freshman midfielder Mary Chew sent a through ball down the middle of the field that sprang sophomore midfielder/forward Leslie Kallberg on a breakaway. Kallberg was taken down on the play by Rangers' junior goalkeeper Ann Mularz (Linden, N.J.) and awarded a penalty shot following the yellow card. Kallberg cashed in as she blasted a shot to the lower left corner of the net.

For the game, the Ducks owned a 27-5 advantage in shots. The Ducks also out-cornered Drew 6-1. Freshman goalkeeper Jenn Pontier picked up her first career shutout as she played all 90 minutes in net. Mularz made 10 saves in the contest.

Stevens will return to action on Saturday when it travels to Rochester, N.Y., to take on Empire 8 rival Rochester Institute of Technology at noon. The Ducks will also play St. John Fisher College on Sunday at 1 p.m.
