Women’s Soccer Places Five on All-Region Team

Kansas City, Mo. – Junior Molly McCann, graduate student Alana Odom, sophomore Taylor Truglia, and seniors Kenny Donley & Angela Dinh were all named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team on Tuesday.

McCann gained First Team honors, Odom was named to the Second Team, and the Truglia/Donley/Dinh trio were selected to the Third Team, the first career All-Region honors for all five, who were all named All-MAC Freedom First Team in November.

McCann started all 20 of her appearances during a 2025 campaign in which she averaged more than 83 minutes per appearance including 12 matches playing all 90 minutes, McCann entered the season with no goals and a single shot attempt in 36 appearances between 2023 and 2024 (adding her first collegiate goal in her eighth appearance of the season), but finished with a flourish, scoring three notching three goals and two assists over her final five matches, including a brace against Misericordia in the MAC Freedom Championship, helping the Ducks snap the Cougars' 4+ year hold on the conference.

Odom, like McCann, made her presence felt constantly over the back half of the season, scoring eight of her nine goals over her final 10 appearances, including braces against DeSales and Delaware Valley, plus the lone goal of two conference wins over King's and Lebanon Valley, helping the San Diego native take home conference Offensive Player of the Year honors.

Truglia missed the first two matches of the year to injury, but still played the full 90 in 11 matches, including three of four postseason affairs, averaging more than 80 minutes per appearance. Opponents averaged 0.60 goals in the matches she played, with the team recording nine shutouts and holding six teams to three shots or fewer.

Donley, a three-year starter, posted arguably her finest season as a Duck, winning 11 games, posting a 0.62 goals-against average, and recording a 0.859 save percentage, all personal bests for the Gig Harbor, Washington native. She began the year with an eight-save performance in a draw with pre-season Top 10 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, capped the regular season with a shutout streak that reached more than 370 minutes of match time, then posted back-to-back clean sheets against Misericordia in the MAC Freedom Championship and Virginia Wesleyan in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.

Dinh started every match for the second straight season, leading all field players in minutes, averaging 79 per outing, logging at least 60 in all but one, including all 90 eight occasions. In addition to her defensive contributions, the Marlboro native scored the eventual game-winning goal in the team's NCAA Tournament win over Virginia Wesleyan.
