MADISON, N.J. (October 1, 2008) – Sophomore forward Katria Misilo tallied her third goal of the season to help the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team earn its sixth win of the year with a 1-0 victory over Drew University Wednesday evening. The Ducks dominated both sides of the field as they improve to 6-2-1 on the year, while the Rangers fall to 4-3-2.

At the 42nd-minute mark, sophomore back Jayme Highley pushed the ball through to senior midfielder Salme Cook. Cook flicked it to Misilo, who then was able to split a pair of defenders to chip the ball past senior goalkeeper Ann Mularz (Linden, N.J.) for an unassisted score.

Even though the final score may not reflect it, Stevens played a very sound game having controlled the ball throughout as many of the Ducks saw action in tonight's contest. Freshman keeper Kaitlin McClymont made her first collegiate start in goal for Stevens. She played all 90 minutes as she was credited with the win. McClymont was tested just twice, having pulled in a pair of saves, a tribute to the Ducks defense.

Stevens out-shot and out-cornered the Rangers 15-3 and 3-1, respectively. Mularz was handed the loss (4-3-2) as she tallied eight saves on the night.

The Ducks return to the playing field on Saturday when they compete in their third conference game of the year against Elmira College in Elmira, N.Y. Game time is scheduled for a 12 p.m. start.
