HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 3, 2012) – Senior Victor Daza (North Plainfield, N.J.) and freshman Joe Cellitti (Mendham, N.J.) put on a spectacular offensive display on Wednesday night as both Ducks scored three goals in the No. 22 Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team's 7-2 victory over Wilkes University. Stevens outshot its guest 32-3 in a game that saw 47 different participants.

Stevens scored early on Daza's first strike four minutes into the match. Fellow senior Zach Adler (McKinney, Texas) earned the assist on that one with a great through ball. Quinn Conner (Newfields, N.H.) scored after Daza shot one off the post four minutes later to double the Duck lead.

Daza cemented his hat trick early, scoring the next two goals of the night at 23:44 and 32:06 before the Ducks pulled their starters. Conner and Stephen Dunbar (Johns Creek, Ga.) earned assists on those tallies.

Cellitti got on the board late in the first half with an unassisted goal after Edward Rupp's (Sayville, N.Y.) shot was saved and the rebound came back to Cellitti for the score.

Wilkes made some noise early in the second half on a goal by Eddie Metzger (Horsham, Pa.) from Eric McAnena (Carlisle, Pa.), and kept the Ducks out of the net for most of the last period. But a great pass from James Priftakis (Dix Hills, N.Y.) sprung Cellitti for his second goal of the match at 82:10 and Matteo Sturla (Hillsboro, N.J.) helped Cellitti cap the night with a final score with 20 seconds left to answer Wilkes' 88th-minute tally.

Incredibly, Cellitti and Daza could have had an even more impressive night as they combined to hit the crossbar three times in the match.

Paul Killian (Ellicott City, Md.) and Brian Schaake (Southbury, Conn.) split the time in the goal for the Ducks, who earned their seventh-straight victory.

Stevens will return to action at home on Saturday against Utica College in an Empire 8 contest that begins at 4 p.m.
