Box Score HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 8, 2012) – Senior Victor Daza (North Plainfield, N.J.) of the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team was named the Empire 8 Player of the Week after leading the Ducks to a 2-0 record and factoring in six of the team's 10 goals. Daza scored a hat trick on Wednesday to highlight his stellar week.
 
Against Wilkes University on Wednesday, Daza scored three goals and added an assist all in the first 33 minutes before the Ducks pulled their starters in the 7-2 victory.
 
Then, in Empire 8 play on Saturday versus Utica College, Daza assisted Stephen Dunbar (Johns Creek, Ga.) and Edward Rupp (Sayville, N.Y.) on the Ducks' first and third goals of the afternoon to run his weekly total to nine points.
 
Daza leads the Ducks this season in points (23), goals (8), assists (7), game-winning goals (2), shots (38) and shots on goal (22).
 
Stevens will renew its rivalry with the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Wednesday night at the DeBaun Athletic Complex at 7:30 p.m. It will be the program's annual Duck Country contest.
