Rafferty and Waybright Amongst National Stat Leaders; Ducks to Host Rowan Thursday at 4 p.m.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 3, 2013)
 – Junior midfielder Kara Rafferty (Bayshore, N.Y.) and senior midfielder Spencer Waybright (West Hartford, Conn.) of the Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team are amongst the nation's elite is several areas according to the latest statistical release from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
 
Rafferty checks in at No. 50 in goals per game, averaging 3.89, and is No. 31 in total goals. She also is top-50 in points, checking in at No. 43 with 44.
 
Waybright is 33rd in assists with 18 and 37th in assists per game (2.0). The senior tri-captain is 57th with 42 total points.
 
Rafferty, Waybright and the rest of the Ducks will look to snap a four-game skid on Thursday against Rowan University at the De Baun Athletic Complex. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m. at all the action can be seen live at www.Empire8.TV.
 
The Ducks, who come in with an overall record of 3-6 and a conference mark of 0-1, have played one of the toughest schedules in the nation. Four of the team's six losses have come to against teams ranked in the top-15 of the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association Top-20.  
 
Rowan is 5-4 overall and is coming off a 16-7 loss to No. 7 The College of New Jersey on April 2. After opening the year 0-3, the Profs won five-straight prior to the loss to TCNJ Tuesday.
