MAHWAH, N.J. (October 25, 2014) – The Stevens Institute of Technology earned its second-straight win Saturday with a 2-1 triumph at Ramapo College.
Stevens moves to 8-10 with the win, while Ramapo falls to 2-15 in defeat.
The Ducks were led by goals from senior forward
Jillian Fiebel (Roxbury, N.J.) and freshman
Victoria Alvarez (Pine Beach, N.J.), an assist from junior midfielder
Dailyn Brook (Cherry Hill, N.J.) and nine saves from goalie
Emily Stukenborg (Stockholm, N.J.).
The hosts jumped on top 1-0 in the 13th minute, when

At 23:39, Alvarez scored her team-high 14th goal of the year and the two teams went into the locker room tied at one apiece. The Ducks ended the period with major edges in shots (19-3) and penalty corners (6-2), but Ramapo goalie
Emily Wisneski (Denville, N.J.) was able to make 16 first-half denials.
In the second half, the Ducks received the game-winner in the 40th minute, just 4:40 into the period. Brook was able to feed Fiebel in front for the game-winner which was her fifth marker of the season. The assist was Brook's 13th of the year.
Despite the tight one-goal win, the Ducks dominated, ending the contest with a 32-13 margin in shots and a 16-5 advantage in penalty corners. Stukenborg tallied her eighth win of the season for the Ducks with her nine saves, while Wisneski was credited with 21 in the loss.
The Ducks will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they host William Paterson University at 12 p.m. Prior to the contest at 11:50 a.m., Stevens will celebrate Fiebel as part of Senior Day at the DeBaun Athletic Complex.
