Men’s Fencing Has Successful Vassar Invite

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (November 9, 2014) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's fencing team went 6-1 Sunday while competing in the Vassar Invitational.
 
The one day event was held at the Walker Field House on the campus of Vassar College.
 
The Ducks picked up convincing 21-6 and 20-7 wins over Hunter College and West Point respectively while gaining wins over Lafayette College, Vassar, Haverford College, and Yeshiva University. The Ducks lone loss of the day came at the swords of Division I Sacred Heart University.
 
Freshman Antonio Fuda led the Ducks with a 16-5 day at epee, while junior Daniel Tracey went 12-3 at foil. Sophomore Michael Szczesniak paced the Ducks at sabre with a 12-4 day.
 
The Ducks will return to the strips on Friday with the Columbia Duals.
