HOBOKEN, N.J. (March 19, 2014) – According to the latest NCAA statistical rankings summary, the Stevens Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team finds itself in the top-50 of several categories ahead of its Wednesday afternoon game with in-state rival Drew University at the De Baun Athletic Complex.
Opening draw between the Ducks and Rangers will take place at 4 p.m. in Hoboken and all the action can be seen live at

The Ducks crack the top-50 nationally in draw controls with 14.00 per game. They are 53rd in caused turnovers, 54th in ground balls and 57th in total points (96). In the conference, Stevens (2-4 overall) is tops in draw controls and is second in CT's, points, scoring offense and scoring margin.
Individually, freshman
Kathleen Kalbian (Cheshire, Conn.) is ranked 45th in caused turnovers per game with 2.83 and she is leading the Empire 8 in that statistic. Sophomore
Erika Wilcox (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) leads the conference in goals with 19 and points with 23.
Following its game against Drew, Stevens will hit the road for its next four contests. The Ducks will visit Hartwick College (March 22), Utica College (March 28) and Elmira College (March 29) in the first three conference matchups of the year, before visiting Rowan on April 2. Stevens returns to Hoboken for E8 foe Alfred University on April 5.
Drew comes into Wednesday's game with an overall record of 3-2 as the Rangers have won their last three contests, including a 13-12 OT win at Scranton. The Ducks are coming off a well-played 19-14 loss in Los Angeles, Calif. to fifth-ranked and unbeaten Franklin & Marshall College.
