RosterHOBOKEN, N.J. (September 2, 2014) – After an opening night loss to Farmingdale State College last Friday night, the Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team will look to rebound tomorrow when they travel to William Paterson University.
Like Stevens, the Pioneers will be looking to even-up their record after their 2-1 loss to start the season to Muhlenberg College on Friday.
Recent history The Ducks are unbeaten in their last five matchups with the Pioneers including a 3-0 win in 2013 and 0-0 tie in 2010. The teams met three straight seasons from 2002-2004 with the Ducks winning 6-0, 4-2, and 3-1.
Pioneer players Coming off a 9-9-3 season, the Pioneers welcomed back two of their top five point scorers from their 2013 squad in senior Marcus Hackett and junior Carlos Arevalo. The pair accounted for a combined 32 points last fall including 13 goals.
On defense, William Paterson features junior Aken Pierre who started all 21 games last season, and sophomore goalie Mike Diacheysn who's in his second year as the starter after making 76 saves a year ago.

Carson Pryor led the way with 10 while sophomore
Jay Mikula added 7, and junior
Colin Phillips had 4. The last time the Ducks had more than 30 shot attempts in a game was October 3, 2012 when they had 32 in a 7-2 win over Wilkes University.
Renna report Sophomore
Chris Renna played 91 minutes in Friday's loss, registering Stevens' only goal with two shot attempts. In net, sophomore
Mike Renna recorded five saves in his debut as the starter.
